How I Deliver Websites

My website builds follow a disciplined process to ensure quality, consistency and scope control. I only begin work once your proposal and Statement of Work are accepted, the invoice is paid, and you’ve completed my onboarding form and provided access to the necessary systems. If anything is missing, I pause the project until it’s resolved.

Once onboarding is complete I move through the following stages:

1. Planning & structure: I confirm your page map matches the agreed scope and lock it down before design begins. I also check that your content is ready or agree on a realistic delivery timeline. Additional pages or major changes require a scope change.
2. Design: I apply your branding and create mobile‑first layouts with clean, conversion‑focused sections. You’ll receive a consolidated design to review; revisions are limited to the allowance in your Statement of Work to keep the project on track.
3. Build & development: I build pages in order of importance (home page, core services, supporting pages, then legal pages). Forms are configured and tested, SEO meta titles and descriptions are added, and images are optimised for fast loading.
4. Quality assurance: Before you ever see the site I perform thorough checks on mobile, tablet and desktop across modern browsers. I fix broken links, test form submissions and run a performance sanity check.
5. Client review & launch: You’ll receive a staging link to review the site and provide consolidated feedback. I apply revisions within scope and then run a pre‑launch checklist covering forms, analytics and backups. Once you approve I deploy the site and provide a seven‑day bug‑fix window for launch‑related issues.
6. Handover & support: At handover I give you admin access (if applicable) and basic usage guidance. Ongoing changes, redesigns or additional features are out of scope but I offer maintenance and SEO retainers to keep your site performing.

This structured process protects your investment and ensures your new site is beautiful, functional and ready to grow.

Pricing

Web projects start at £200 for simple brochure sites and increase based on complexity, number of pages and custom functionality. I provide a detailed proposal and timeline before any work begins.
