I work with UK businesses that already have a live site and need someone dependable to look after it — trades and home services, professional services, hospitality and start-ups and other SMEs across Oxford, Abingdon, Witney, Banbury, Bicester and Didcot.
If your site was built by me or another developer and you don't want to chase plugins, security patches or content tweaks yourself, a monthly maintenance plan is the right fit. Plans start from £75/month on a rolling basis, with no lock-in and 30 days' notice to cancel.
Why Your Website Needs Ongoing Maintenance
A website left to run itself slowly becomes a risk. Security vulnerabilities go unpatched, plugins fall out of date, page speeds creep up and small bugs go unnoticed until they cost you enquiries. A monthly maintenance plan means that routine work is handled on a predictable schedule — not only when something breaks.
For example, an outdated WordPress plugin can leave a site open to hackers, or a contact form can silently stop sending enquiries after an update — and you only find out when the phone goes quiet. A monthly maintenance plan catches those issues on a schedule, not only when something has already broken.
Care Plan vs One-Off Design or SEO
A care plan is a monthly retainer for keeping an existing website healthy. It is not a rebuild and it is not a full ranking campaign.
- Web Design Packages — A one-off project to design or rebuild your site. When launch is done, an optional care plan covers ongoing updates and monitoring.
- SEO Packages — A separate monthly retainer focused on search visibility, content strategy and rankings. Growth and Premium care plans include light SEO upkeep; full ranking work stays on the SEO retainers from £300/month.
- Website care & maintenance — the ongoing layer: CMS and plugin updates, security checks, uptime monitoring, performance reporting, content tweaks within your hours, and priority support.
Many clients combine services — for example a new site plus a Starter care plan, or Growth care alongside an SEO retainer — but each product has a clear job so you are not paying twice for the same work.

What's Included in Every Plan
You Keep Your Own Hosting
I don't host your website or lock you into my servers. Your site stays with your chosen provider — Netlify, SiteGround, WP Engine or similar — and I manage the maintenance remotely. You keep control of your hosting, domain and data.
Need a rebuild or better rankings? Pair maintenance with Web Design if the site itself needs replacing, or with an SEO retainer from £300/month if growth is the goal. Care plans protect what you already have; design and SEO move you forward.

Who are website care & maintenance plans for?
Oxfordshire businesses with a live site that need monthly maintenance, security checks and priority support — without hiring an in-house developer. Ideal after a launch or when an existing site needs reliable looking-after.
How is a maintenance plan different from web design or SEO?
Web design is a project to build or rebuild the site. SEO is a separate retainer to improve search visibility. A care plan keeps the site you already have updated, monitored and supported each month. You can combine them, but they are priced and scoped separately.
Can you take on a website that wasn't built by you?
Yes — as long as the site is built on a platform I can access (WordPress, Webflow, Netlify-hosted static sites etc.), I'm happy to take it on. I'll do a quick review first to assess what's needed.
What happens if I need more than the included hours?
Additional time is billed at my standard rate of £60/hour, agreed in advance. I'll always let you know before going over your included hours. Unused included hours do not roll over to the next month.
Is there a minimum contract term?
No. All plans run on a rolling monthly basis. Cancel with 30 days' written notice at any time.
Will I get a report every month?
Yes — every month I'll send a clear summary covering what was updated, uptime observations from monitoring, page speed notes, and any SEO highlights relevant to your plan.
What platforms do you support?
I look after WordPress sites most often, plus Webflow and static sites hosted on Netlify. I'll do a quick review first to check access and what the site needs. If your platform isn't one I support, I'll say so before you start a plan.
